Season Overview

Dismantling The Network

Season 4 begins with Deputy Attorney General Ruth Maddox investigating Warren's death. Her inquiry becomes the ticking clock as Marcus uncovers something far larger: Warren was just one node in a massive network of defense contractors, intelligence officers, senators, and corporate executives protecting each other through institutional mechanisms.

At the center is Theodore "Ted" Morrison, CEO of Morrison Defense Industries—charming philanthropist publicly, network coordinator privately. As Dalton investigates, Marcus makes a devastating discovery: Morrison's company provided the defective ammunition that killed David Dalton in 1989. For 36 years, Dalton never knew who was responsible for his brother's death.

The season's innovative Rashomon structure (Episodes 3, 7, 11) shows the same events from three perspectives— the team's, the FBI's, and the network's—asking who decides the truth. When Morrison is exposed, Senator Kane (one of the Five People) is revealed as a network member. The presidential finding is rescinded. In the finale, without any legal authorization, the team chooses to continue the mission.

36-Year Justice

David Dalton killed in 1989 by Morrison's defective ammunition. Finally vindicated in 2027. Justice delayed but not denied.
