THE MIRROR
"The enemy wears a friendly face."
The Price of Trust
Thomas Warren, Deputy CIA Director and one of the 'Five People' who knew about the Grey Area finding, has been systematically corrupting the team's intelligence sources. His motivation: revenge for Dalton's 2010 JAG investigation that destroyed Warren's Pentagon career—and personal complicity in the contractor corruption that killed Dalton's brother David.
Meanwhile, Elijah Cross and THE TRIBUNAL—a mercenary group of former covert operators—begin hunting the team. Cross ran a similar program in the 1990s before it was shut down. He's what the Grey Area team could become without verification protocols, without moral restraint.
As verification protocols fail and allies become enemies, the team must survive betrayal from within while being hunted from without. By season's end, the Five become Four—and Elijah Cross receives a new contract: eliminate the entire team.
Betrayal Within
Warren's 18-month corruption of intelligence sources leads to the team's first verification failure—and an innocent man's death.
The Mirror
Elijah Cross is everything the team could become without rules. 'You're one budget cut away from being me.'
Family vs. Mission
Jack's defining choice: revenge or justice. 'Sarah would want justice, not vengeance. The ring stays on.'
